Our dearest Esperanza families,

Welcome to the new school year!

We hope you are enjoying a wonderful summer. We also hope you are relaxed, recharged and ready to start a new school year. We are so delighted that you are part of our amazing learning community. We welcome and value your positive energy and dedication to excellence in education, and we look forward to working with you and your children, and we get ready for a long awaited return to a regular school year, filled with on campus activities, parent volunteers, field trips, learning and lots of fun!

Our skilled and devoted staff is already planning and preparing for your child(ren). Our enthusiastic office team is entering fully enrolled new families into our school information system, ordering needed materials and updating student files. Our hard working and conscientious custodians have spent the entire summer thoroughly cleaning the facility and preparing the campus for our students. And, our much-appreciated PTA is gearing up to welcome families, provide volunteer opportunities, and offer other exciting events and programs. We are indeed a joyous and caring community with the common goals of nurturing responsible, caring students and promoting high-level learning.

A great deal of time, effort and thought is going into the process of student placement for the 2024-2025 school year. Careful consideration is given to input from staff and families as well as student learning styles. Classrooms are balanced academically and socially. Our class assignments are structured to provide equitable class sizes at each grade level, and we look forward to the excitement of our new classes in the first weeks of school.

Thank you so much for being positive with your children and helping them understand that it is impossible to place all students with a preferred best friend or teacher. ALL of our staff works hard to make school a positive experience for ALL students. Esperanza is eagerly looking forward to enriching your children’s lives. Thank you for understanding that it can take a few weeks for a child to acclimate to a new grade, peer group and teacher.

Back to school night will be held Friday August 2nd! Our doors will open at 4:30 p.m., and our PTA will host a spirit wear and membership table along with food trucks for our families from 4:30-5:30 p.m. During this time families can enjoy some snacks while locating the class lists posted around the cafeteria. We will have three sessions to meet teachers. TK families can join the TK teachers in the band room for a group presentation from 5:00-5:30 p.m. followed by a tour of the TK classrooms. Parents of kindergarten through sixth graders will attend teacher presentations in their children’s classroom. Please pick one of two sessions offered. Our first session will take place from 5:30-5:50 p.m. Families with multiple students will then have 10 minutes to make their way to their second session from 6:00-6:20 p.m. Visits will conclude with gates closing at 6:30 p.m. We eagerly look forward to greeting students and families again when classes start on Monday, August 5th.
